Bravermans Break It Down

My weak heart can’t handle the cuteness.

How are there people who exist sans Parenthood?

The fine folks of the terribly underrated, unsung hero of nbc (otherwise known as Parenthood) are like paleontologists and they manage to dig through my heart and find all of the plot lines, character developments, and dream boat-y cast members they know will send me into cardiac arrest each Tuesday night.

Jason Katims + company: why do you know me so well? Also, would it be okay if there was a new episode like everyday? I don’t think my feeble heart can make it through the strenuous waits for much longer.

Thanks in advance, nbc lineup planning people!

RUGRATS LIVE-ACTION MOVIE TRAILER

WHY DID I NOT FIND THIS SOONER!?

Mae Whitman as Angelica?

Sarah Ramos as Phil and Lil?

Alia Shawkat as Chuckie?

Honestly, I’ve gotta say, I LOVE what the Parenthood cast does with their free time!

Also, Dax Shepard and Peter Krause should’ve been Stu and Drew.

Unpopular Opinion: I Whole-Heartedly Defend Haddie

Haddie may seem like a heartless and/or selfish being at times, but in all honestly, Sarah Ramos impeccably portrays the social cues and emotional mindset of a teenager. We have to remember fellow Parenthood fans, that us teens, or really, us humans, aren’t always going to react to tough situations with complete rationality or patience.

Haddie Braverman balances rigorous academics, dealing with a brother who has Aspergers, a newborn who constantly cries, a failed relationship with a recovering alcoholic, and parents who essentially have little to no time for her.

Sarah Ramos embodies a character that admittedly, we can all compare ourselves to at one point in our lives or another. I’ll proudly admit that I see a lot of myself in her and am usually moved to tears during her scenes because they really hit home.

P.S. This whole spiel is happening around 3:15am, so my rhetoric is probably as convincing as a five year-old’s.

TEAM HADDIE

Tonight’s Parenthood: Tears Were Shed

When Jason Katims created Parenthood he achieved the great task of producing a quality show in these trying times and the even greater task of making an emotionally detached television watcher bawl every Tuesday. Hats off to him and his wildly talented cast and crew!

R.I.P. My days of watching television with dry eyes

Parenthood for ALL the awards

‘Missing’ Recap:

-The missing bit: Okay, so the preview did make it seem like Max was going to be harassed and given the expectations I had, this portion of the episode was a tad underwhelming. But, I love that it happened because it revealed what poor Haddie’s going through. Most fans HATE her, but I do see where she’s coming from, and it was illuminated tonight.

-Crosby: ALL THE TEARS. Gosh, the end with Jasmine. Just. Gawd, I love him.

-Kristina: Atta girl! I’m glad things are on the up and up with you and Adam, now!

-Julia/Zoe: I don’t know which of you I feel more sorry for. BTW: Why no Joel this week? :(

-Also, did anyone catch Drew and Haddie cuddling on the couch during Zeek’s commercial? Cutest cousins ever! (Still prefer the Drew/Amber connection, though)

-Dr. Joe: I’m still not too fond of you, but that was a nice thing you did for Jabbar

-Gosh, Mark’s line just made me ship him and Sarah even harder than I already do.

Okay, that is all.

So…seriously? I have to wait until January for the next episode? Waiting until Tuesday is hard enough. I. Am. Gonna. Die.

Oh, Parenthood, what you do to me.

PARENTHOOD: Why do you always manage to make a stonewall like me cry?!

Yet again, Parenthood has reduced me to a sobbing mess. Before this show came into my life, I did not comprehend how a fictional television program could cause someone to succumb to tears. But, every Tuesday, my heart falls victim to the plot lines of this amazing, far too underrated series and my eyes leak like faucets, soaking my pillow and laptop keys.

Parenthood Makes Tuesdays Terrific.

This episode.

LOVED Drew’s first kiss (and the scene where Amber gave him advice…best sibling dynamic ever)!!!

LOVED Crosby and Adam being brotherly and conquering through their tough time at the Luncheonette…and Cee Lo’s random guest appearance.

LOVED Joel standing up to Zeek…perfect husband.

LOVED Haddie and Kristina’s heart-to-heart (made me miss my mom…and want Haddie’s killer room)

LOVED Mark’s vulnerability about Sarah and Seth…it sucks, but it shows that he’s not all smiles and that he actually has moments when he isn’t just jokes and giggles

WATCHING PARENTHOOD EVERY TUESDAY SHOULD BE A MANDATED LAW IN THE CONSTITUTION. Just sayin.
